Printoscope System is designed to:

  • archive and monitor contents of documents printed on network printing devices,
  • monitor number and costs of printouts performed on printing and copying devices (local and network printers and copiers, digital and analogue)
  • securing documents against unauthorised access
  • managing the printing processes (e.g. follow-me-printing feature)

The system comprises number of modules allowing flexible and scalable implementation in the existing environment of a company. System is able to monitor printouts in heterogeneous environments: it can account printouts from Microsoft Windows, Novell NetWare, Unix, Linux, Sun Solaris, AIX, etc. In case of Microsoft Windows and Novell NetWare the system modules do not introduce any changes in existing user configuration.

Modules of Printoscope System:

Printoscope Cost Control

Main module, responsible for collecting printouts data and supplying reports.

Printoscope Terminal Server

The module comprises two elements: a server (LPD implementation) and Printoscope Terminals. It collects printouts from users, stores it for further printing and monitors number of printed copies.

Printoscope Printouts Repository

The module is designed to monitor and manage contents of printouts. PPR works closely with Printoscope Cost Control (PCC).

Printoscope Safe Print

This is an implementation of LPD server, designed to monitor printouts in systems such as UNIX, Linux, Sun Solaris, AIX, etc.

Printoscope Solution Manager

Tool designed to support designing of new printing systems with use of data collected by Printoscope Cost Control.
