Printoscope Printouts Repository

Printoscope Printouts Repository is an advanced solution for viewing contents of printouts made by means of local and network printing devices. Printouts are stored in the system for a specified period of time. The program allows to archive and review the printed content by the committee.

Printouts archiving

Printouts created by the users are archived in the repositories in the same form as they were originally sent to the printing device (RAW files). The system controls many repositories which are accessed from the Printoscope Management Console of the Printoscope Cost Control module. Printouts deduplication reduces the size of the stored repositories by eliminating repeated data.

Safe data storage

Printouts are stored in an encrypted form. The PPR module uses the AES and RSA encryption algorithms, which ensures the safety of the potentially confidential contents of the printouts. Unauthorized access to printed documents is – thanks to this solution – practically impossible.

Printouts presentation

Graphics and text are generated by external converting programs. The system allows the use of any external converter. Printouts are presented in a form of multi-page graphic files or text with a search function.

Safety of processed data

The PPR module increases the security of data processed in the company. The printouts are archived and viewed by the person supervising the printing process to effectively deter disloyal employees from disclosing confidential data. Using this solution significantly increases the chances of detecting the perpetrators of this type of actions and allows to determine which documents could be disclosed. This functionality allows tracing the contents of documents printed by the employees and is becoming an essential element in ensuring the security of information in units for which data protection is particularly important, such as: banks, insurance companies and public institutions.

Control of access to archived printouts

The PPR module is controlled from the Printoscope Management Console application which is the part of Printoscope Cost Control system. The access to printouts is clearly specified. The content of printed works can be viewed only by direct managers of printout executors. Individual managers do not have access to all printouts registered in the system, and the Printoscope Cost Control system administrator is not authorized to view any printout.

The free disk space required for Printoscope Printouts Repository depends mainly on the number of source files stored in the repository. It is determined individually during the implementation.
